STEM IA is the first Calgary Charter school to open in more than a decade. The school was founded by Lisa Davis, a former CBE Trustee, and Sarah Bieber, a counsellor and education advocate. These brilliant minds got together and recognized that technology innovation would be a huge part of rebuilding our province's economy. As such, they pushed for a specialized STEM school that would prepare our students for better job opportunities. The school opened its doors to 400+ students on August 31, 2021.

Our STEMIA School Council was established in October 2021. We work in close collaboration with the school administration to enhance educational programs and promote events that foster positive relationships among members of our school community. 

Our Parent Fundraising Society was founded in November 2021. The Parent Society's primary focus is to raise funds and seek community sponsorships. Our Society is also involved in events that are regulated by the Alberta Gaming. Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC).
