How much can I win?
The amount you can win depends on the amount raised through raffle ticket sales. We also get charged for service, merchant, and credit card fees. These fees will be split in half between the winner and our STEMIA Parent Fundraising Society.
Example:
POT MONEY: $10,000
FEES: $700 (Split equally between winner and Parent Fundraising Society)
Approximate net earnings/ Winner: $4650
Approximate net earnings/ STEMIA Parent Fundraising Society: $4650
There are 1000 tickets available and if we sell all of them, the winner can potentially win a gross amount of $10,000, excluding fees.
How does a 50/50 Raffle Fundraiser work?
A 50/50 fundraiser is a similar concept to a regular raffle. The prize, also known as the "pot", is the amount raised by selling tickets. The winner of the pot wins 50% of the prize money. The other 50% goes to our STEMIA Parent Fundraising Society.
For instance, if $8000 is raised through the sale of tickets, the winner of the raffle will win $4000, and the other half of the pot will go to our STEMIA Parent Fundraising Society. Please note that the associated fees will be split equally between the winner and our STEMIA Parent Fundraising Society.

How is a winner chosen?
Shortly after the deadline, Rafflebox uses a CERTIFIED RANDOM NUMBER GENERATOR that randomly picks a winner. This a safe and secure process that guarantees the integrity of this entire operation. None of the executives from the STEMIA Parent Fundraising Society are involved in the process of picking a winner.
On December 22rd, 2022, the winner will be contacted by our organization. Their name will be published on our website and social media platforms.
Who can participate in this fundraiser?
Anyone with an affiliation to the school can participate in the fundraiser. This includes students, staff, parents, guardians, family friends, etc. We are not imposing any limit on the number tickets that can be purchased by an individual, but we do have a maximum of 1000 tickets available for purchase.
Administrators, Executive members of the STEM Innovation Academy Society, and Directors of the STEMIA Parent Fundraising Society are also permitted to participate in this event.
How will I receive the tickets that I purchased?
You will receive your ticket number by email. There are no "paper" tickets that will be mailed out. Rafflebox keeps track of your contact information alongside your ticker number(s). As such, you don't need to worry about losing your ticket.
The deadline to purchase tickets is: December 16th, 2022 at Midnight.
Will this fundraiser benefit both campuses?
This fundraiser supports both the Junior High and the Senior Campuses. Our STEMIA Parent Fundraising Society aims to split the funds evenly so that we can support the needs of all students among all 4 grades (grades 7-10) in a fair manner.
